Explanation Memory, or smrti(pronounced smriti), is a re-experiencing of a previously experienced mental impression. If we cognize a horse, and later the mental impression of the horse is re-experienced, that is a memory. Memory may be of real objects or, in the case of remembered dreams, of imaginary objects previously experienced .
